COURSE DESCRIPTION

The 5 days intensive workshop on Structural Analysis & Design of RCC Building Using ETABS and SAFE is designed to provide Civil Engineers aspirants with a complete knowledge of RCC Building Structural Design & Analysis process. This course is
helpful for the Civil Engineers in their due work, as well as the Students of Civil Engineering Faculty. This course is especially designed for Civil Engineers who want to pursue their career in RCC Building Structural Design & Analysis.

Module I :

  • Software Installation of ETABS 2016, Fundamental of Structural design & analysis
  • Discussion on Applicability Soil Test Report on Design of Super structure as well as
    Sub structure & Importing AutoCAD drawing to ETABs along with Grid Definition
  • Model-ling of Beam Frame and reviewing its SFD, BMD
  • Introduction to guidelines for earthquake resistant building construction as per
    NBC/IS Standards on Different type of structures

Module II : 

  • Introduction to ETABS
  • Introduction to Finite element Method with graphical user Interface OF ETAB
  • Define Material, Section, Load Pattern, Load Combination
  • Modelling: Define-Material, Section, Diaphragm, Load, Pattern, Load Combination,
    Function, and Mass Source. etc.
  • Modeling in ETABS (drawing, editing & modifying frame elements)
  • Load Calculation- Frame load, Shell Load and Assignment of Load in Model
  • Restraint Properties

Module III : 

  • Analysis and Data Interpretation i.e., Check for Permissible limit and discussion on
    different type of Irregularities as per NBC 105 :2020 and IS 1893 :2016
  • Design of Beam, Column, and discussion on Design output
  • Analyzing building System
  • Brief discussion on Response Spectrum Analysis

Module IV : 

  • Design Output & Detailing
  • Extracting ETABs Output for Report + Building Permit Book Filling as per
    municipal standard
  • Discussion on Selection different type of Footing as per different site condition
  • Analysis & Design of different types of Footing, Slab Design, and Staircase design in
    Excel Sheet

Module V :

  • Brief Discussion on Structural drawing
  • Analysis and Interpretation of Result obtained
  • Project Report Preparation
  • Revision & Final Discussion
